Getting back in the swing of things

Well, I suppose I should finally get this blogging business done with, huh? I’ve been meaning to blog for quite a while, but I’ve simply just not known what to say.

So, Uni’s been going for the last four weeks. I’m enjoying the courses, but goodness, there is SO much work to do. I have two essays due next Thursday, and a test on Friday. I’m incredibly stressed, but I’m getting there. I’m doing a lot of genetics and evolution work this semester, which I’m super interested in, so at least I’m enjoying keeping up with the work.

I’ve been kind of sick lately too. I’ve had a cold the past week, and have also had some major pains in my abdomen for a week and a bit, which the doctor thinks is an issue with my bowel. It’d be nice if my body could start working like it’s supposed to!

In other health news, I’m back on the diet and trying really hard. I’m down to about 72kg, which is a drop of a little over 8kgs. I have at least another 12 to go. I started back up at the gym today, and I’m glad I did because I enjoyed it incredibly. I felt so good afterwards! I’ve also been doing a lot of Wii Fit lately. It’s helping so much with my flexibility: I can touch my toes now! :D

It’s my birthday next Thursday. I’m kind of freaking out a little bit. I’m turning 20, and it’s making me feel really old. Even though I’m not old in the slightest, it’s making me feel like I’ve missed something. I guess this past year has been so full of stress that I haven’t really had time to actually enjoy being 19. Hah, it sounds ridiculous but it feels like i’ve missed so much of this year!

I hope I don’t leave so much time between blogging next time. I suck at this.

-Weight: 72ish kg
-Lost: 8kg
-Exercise: Wii Fit: 50 minutes, Gym: 45 minutes.

Congrats on the weight loss sweet, you’re doing well! Good luck with the gym, I’ve never been a good gym work-out girl. heh

I totally understand the Uni stresses. It’s so much work some weeks! You’re obviously not on holiday from next week? Our mid semester break starts this Monday, are you the week after?

20 is not young at all!! You’re so lucky! I’m 24, god I wish I could have those 4 extra years back… life is flying so fast! So cliche, but so true! lol

Hope you get better. Sick + uni = ftl. Heaps of my friends are turning 20 this month…guess all I can say is, would it really be all that different? You’d still be you [maybe with a few more wrinkles =p ...yes, much consolation there -cough- sorry xD] Well.. um.. age doesn’t suddenly switch over at 20! -nod- But happy birthday this Thurs!

Congratulations on the weight loss. I’m slowly pushing myself into that process as well. Sorry to hear about the cold, they can be so annoying.

Ha, you are luck you’re turning 20. I’m going on 21 this year. -Sniffles- Getting old is so not fun. Makes you miss those days of being seventeen and such. Besides the point though, hope you had a wonderful birthday.

I’m glad you got to blog! Sometimes it’s hard when you don’t have much to say or you’re really busy. I am so proud of your weight loss! Keep up the awesome work! By the way, I want to buy a Wii every time I read something you write lately hehe. I played it at a friend’s house and it was really fun! I know what you mean about feeling old too. I’m only 24 and I’ve REALLY been feeling old lately. Just wait until you are done with uni. Then you REALLY feel old. Hahaha, not to scare you or anything! :P
