Lazy blogger syndrome

It’s abundantly obvious that I’m useless as crap at this whole blogging business. Blagh, I was so determined to get going with it once again, but lo and behold, life got in the way.

Fuck, it’s annoying how it does that sometimes.

So, semester 1 2009 has been and gone, exams have been and gone and I have (although I’m ashamed to admit it) failed my first paper. Ever. Yeah, I know, I bet you’re all thinking “You’ve never failed a paper before now?” No. I haven’t. And to be honest, it stings a lot. But what’s done it’s done.

I spent a week and a half in Sydney, chilling with my parents and my brother. It was lovely to see them again. I’ve since returned from Sydney, I’ve not really had much time for anything but getting back into the swing of things… Not when once considers that I waste most of my time fandomming.

Oh yes, that’s another thing… Certain individuals that shall remain nameless have got me hooked on the glory that is the Whoverse. Within the last month and a half, I’ve watched four seasons of Doctor Who, about three quarters of a season of Torchwood and am contemplating getting my hands on all the earlier seasons of Doctor Who the next chance I get. My prior intrigue with David Tennant has now become an unhealthy obsession to the point where I am certain that if I ever encountered him and his ruffle, I’d be punted out of the United Kingdom with a twenty year restraining order.

In my defence, how could ANYONE turn down that hair and cheeky grin?

Teninch and other obsessions aside, I’ve been rather busy with uni. I’m only doing three courses this semester and am feeling much more relaxed. The courses are looking to be quite interesting too, which is a plus. So far, it’s quite cruisy, although I’ll have to buckle down and get some decent study in with eventuality.

The benefit to having such a cruisy schedule is that I get to spend way too much time drawing. Not that this is a good thing because I could really use those hours of the day taking the time to read over some coursework, but alas, what’s to be expected? I am the queen of procrastination after all.

Also, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’ve taken the time to sort out my Gallery – the photography section is now chocka with most of my recent and favourite photos, and I have added some more stuff to the Fanart (formerly the Twilight) gallery, too.

Right, well I’m exhausted and struggling to keep my eyes open, so it’s definitely bed time. Night, internets!

Edit: the NextGen gallery plugin for wordpress is hardcore failing when I blog thumbnails. I want them centred, but nooo. Anyone know why a simple div align = center isn’t working, and how I can fix this?

    Yes! You should blog more!

I totally read Whoverse are “Whore-a-verse.” I don’t know why. Probably because I suspect Elyse for those kinds of things more. However, Dr. Who is pretty awesome.

I’m sorry you failed a paper. I think it happens to all of us at some point but it really does hurt. I’m glad you are just looking forward.

Your drawings are AMAZING. You are so freaking talented.

LMFAO I can see your mistake in regards to the who/whore verse. That said, Elyse kind of makes the Whoverse into a whoreverse so…

Thankies. It did suck failing that paper but there’s not much I can do about it. Just got to move on and deal with it =D

And thank you again! It’s good to be drawing again. :3

I too thought you wrote Whoreverse, and imagined an online game where you played a down and out whore trying to get back to the top of her business again, fighting young skanks, pimps, and turning tricks for points… Is it just me or does that sound like a badass idea for a game????

David Tenn is doubly bad because he’s in the new Hobbit movie!

I have lazy blogger syndrome too. Whenever I start, life gets in the way and I forget.

I’ve been known to go a month or more without blogging..then all of a sudden I start blogging every day, then back down to once a month again. :/ I think we all go through it. Life just gets in the way. :)
As for centering them…can you not just click the thumbnail or anywhere on that line that the thumbnail is on and tell it to center via the wordpress editing tools?

She thinks that she can fly ...

My name is Sarah and I'm a 20 year old Austra-kiwi. I'm studying a Bsci majoring in biology at the University of Auckland, and as a result, I'm full to the brim with useless science information that nobody will ever really want to know. My passions are photography, art, and writing, and I delve into all three every chance I can get. I have a fair few obsessions, all of them obnoxiously embarrasing, but they shape me into the insane nutjob I am.
