My name is Sarah Christine, and I was born on the 28th of August, 1988. I was born in Sydney, Australia, where I lived until I was 18, except for 2 years in the early 1990s, where I lived in Hong Kong. I’m the oldest of two children: My younger brother, Chris, is two years younger than me but several hundred times more awesome. I currently live in Auckland, New Zealand, where I am studying a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology, and live with my boyfriend of almost 5 years, James. I love it here in Auckland, but miss my family and friends back home in Sydney. I wouldn’t change anything for the world, though.

It doesn’t take much to realise that I’m quite the photography fiend. I don’t consider myself great, but I do enjoy taking the time to hide behind my lens for a while and view the world from a different angle. I am trying to become more experimental and explore a bit more with my photography.. Coming out of my shell, if you will. With time, I hope to gain a lot more experience with portraiture and landscapes, particularly focussing on waterscapes. If you’re interested, you can see my photography at Flickr

In addition to photography, I have quite a few hobbies. I thoroughly enjoy knitting, particularly knitting socks and wearables. I also spend a fair amount of time reading: Some of my favourite authors include Matthew Reilly, J.K. Rowling and James Patterson. I’ll generally read anything, provided it’s good. I’m currently teaching myself how to play guitar, and naturally, I have a huge love for music. My playlist consists of over 4000 songs, and has a wide range of artists. Some of my more listened to artists include Stars, Broken Social Scene, Death Cab for Cutie, Amy Winehouse, Jack Johnson and Sufjan Stevens: Pretty eclectic, huh? So, you know what I like, but what am I like? In reality, I’m a bit of a contradiction. I’m awfully shy, but when I come out of my shell I’m pretty outgoing and, well, lets face it … Insane. I’m pretty fun to be around when I’m not being a mopeybutt. I’m funny and entertaining all the time, though. It’s pretty much my only consistency. My uncle even nicknamed me “Jokester” simply because I would mess around and tell jokes to try and cheer people up after my grandmother died. I’m capable of being serious but, you know what, life’s too short to have a stick up your bum the entire time, so I enjoy it and make the best of situations when I can. I’m also pretty caring, if I can say so myself. I generally put others needs before my own, simply because I don’t like seeing my friends and family suffering. I guess I’m just awesome like that.
